We enjoyed particularly good and amazing location.

We had a delightful two-night stay at Ancora in Verbania. The hotel staff was very attentive, answering all our questions both before and during our stay. The room was comfortable and clean, with a lovely unobstructed lake view. The AC worked perfectly, and the location was convenient for exploring the ferry, botanical gardens, and nearby restaurants. The breakfast was delicious, offering a wide variety of high-quality products. We will definitely be returning for our eighth visit.

Good location close to the Lake. Interior old fashioned but room/en suite both fine. Also a bit noisy but this was unavoidable as Hotel is on the main road. Reception exceptionally helpful and pointed us to free parking close by. Good breakfast and very good value at the price we got from Booked.net.

Hotel Ancora is spotlessly clean and located in an incredibly clean building. It is close to the city center and shops that sell high-end fashion and accessories. the hotel offers a wonderful and incredible location, just a short walk to Intra Ferry Terminal and right by the lake.

Situated very conveniently, just minutes to the old town, the lakefront promenade an the ships to the Borromean Islands. Best breakfast I've ever had in Italy, including even a machine that produces freshly squeezed orange juice. Good market close to the hotel on saturdays.

A nice little place to stay and enjoy Lago Maggiore. Reasonably priced and in a great location. The street along the esplanade is busy, with the port of Intra very close by. This provided interest and convenience, although a little noisy. The old town is lovely, great places to eat and shop, with lots of little bars for a coffee or ice-cream. You can take a boat ride to anywhere on the lake very easily. We opted for an express ticket, which took us for a day into Switzerland and the nearby mountains using a combination of boat, tram-car-railway and the Trentitalia train service. The hotel itself is clean and tidy with friendly staff. The air-con did work, and they provided a pleasant breakfast with a nice selection of fresh items. We also used their garage parking, which is nearby. You could easily reach this destination by using the railway ( in our case, from Milan Malpenza airport) and a ferry. For a short break, our car hire wasn't necessary. We stayed here in July when it was very warm. We would love to come back, perhaps during Spring next time, when there is still some snow on the tops fo the mountains in view across the lake from our room.

our stay was simply perfect. surpassed expectations, just like last time. the host went above and beyond, driving us to the scenic route for lake views. truly romantic.

lots of exceptional food. functional and contemporary units with good wifi, a balcony, as example. location very close to the ferry to the islands, stresa or across the lake, restaurants and the lake near parking. a few steps away from intra ferry terminal and other tourist attractions.

The location of this hotel was perfect with many restaurants and cafes within walking distance. Additionally, there was easy access to transportation, the harbor was nearby and I could easily explore the city. The cleanliness of the hotel was top-notch and the staff was always helpful and friendly. The hotel facilities, including the parking, were well-maintained and easily accessible.

There was nothing I didn't like.
